We are seeking a Headteacher to lead the next chapter at Codnor, building on our school’s strengths and securing lasting improvements in education and outcomes for our children. Our Christian vision reflects our belief that every child should feel valued, fulfil their potential and have the opportunity to flourish.

We are looking for

  • An inspirational, values-led leader who will embrace and further develop our distinctive Christian ethos.
  • A strategic thinker with the ambition, experience and judgement to lead sustainable school improvement.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of teaching, learning and curriculum across Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
  • A visible, approachable leader who can inspire, develop and support staff.
  • Someone who will build strong relationships with children, staff, parents and carers, Governors, the Church and wider community.
  • A commitment to inclusion and removing barriers to learning and achievement, including for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • The leadership and management skills to use the school’s people, resources and finances effectively.

Visits to the school by arrangement are warmly welcomed. Please contact Jackie Waller on 01773 742537.
