Opaskwayak Education Services Inc. is looking for Elementary School Teachers for the Full-Time 2025-2026 School Year.
SUMMARY
Opaskwayak Education Services is dedicated to the revitalization of language, culture, spiritual beliefs, and traditional knowledge to enrich the educational journey of every student. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed English teachers who can foster a positive and culturally meaningful learning environment for students at Joe A. Ross School.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- A Bachelor of Education is mandatory
- A satisfactory child abuse registry check and criminal record check must be completed prior to employment
DUTIES
- Adhere to the Teachers Code of Conduct as well as the OCN/OES Employee Code of Conduct
- Arrive on time and treat all colleagues and students with dignity
- Effectively plan and deliver the approved curriculum
- Establish a pleasant, respectful, and orderly learning environment that promotes student engagement
- Evaluate student progress and communicate the assessment methods to be used in each course
- Provide reports and attendance to the principal as required
- Enhance teaching and learning outcomes by leveraging assessment results
- Refer students to the appropriate special services when necessary
- Ensure that all timetables, lesson plans, mark books, or other related documents are completed and submitted upon leaving their last teaching position
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned
