About This Role
Taylor's International School KL (TIS KL) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Head of Curriculum Support within our Secondary school.
Located centrally, TIS KL delivers a high-quality education based on the English national curriculum, incorporating the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and IGCSE courses. With around 1500 students from over 40 nationalities, our dedicated local staff is complemented by roughly 10% expatriate teachers. About the role
We are in search of qualified and experienced candidates for the Head of Curriculum Support position within our Secondary School. The successful candidate will oversee a small team of teachers dedicated to assisting secondary students with learning difficulties, as well as those for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL).
Key responsibilities of this role include:

Evaluating Special Educational Needs during the admissions process and providing recommendations for necessary support.
•
Assessing English proficiency upon admission to the school and advising on appropriate actions.
•
Leading and managing the Curriculum Support teaching team.
•
Collaborating with the counseling department and safeguarding teams.
•
Ensuring quality in teaching and learning across all classes concerning EAL provisions and Special Educational Needs, through planning support, classroom observations, and drop-ins.
•
Facilitating professional development for staff and workshops for parents focusing on SEN and EAL.
•
Engaging with external agencies such as Educational Psychologists, Language Specialists, and other professional organizations regarding students under the purview of the CSU department.

Fostering a relationship built on trust, discretion, and openness with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Managing confidential information in a professional and sensitive manner.
•
Coordinating with the Primary school’s CSU department to ensure seamless transitions for students entering secondary.
•
Assessing students and preparing applications and supporting documents for submission to the examination board.
•
Coordinating special provisions for exam students, where authorized.
Candidates are asked to provide contact information for two referees, including one from their current or most recent Principal/Headteacher.
Please note that applicants must hold a recognized teaching qualification and possess a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. International experience is highly valued.
