Aldar Education is currently on the lookout for a Head of Art at Noya British School in Abu Dhabi, set to commence in the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the academy in realizing its overall vision and strategic goals while contributing to the attainment of specific targets outlined in the academy's improvement plan and self-evaluation document.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workplace and follow the academy's policies regarding safe working practices and equal opportunity regulations.

• Follow the academy's Performance Management Policy by establishing challenging annual targets and taking on the role of performance management reviewer if requested by the Principal.

• Participate in annual training related to child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety, along with any other training deemed necessary for academy improvement or performance management.

• Abide by the academy's staff dress code consistently, including the mandatory wearing of photo ID/lanyard.

• Ensure the effective and efficient use of classroom support.

• Utilize performance data to guide planning, ensuring that Learning and Teaching efforts continue to enhance student achievement.

• Systematically assess and document students' progress, maintaining records to verify understanding and completion of work, monitoring strengths and areas for improvement, informing planning, and recognizing student achievement levels.

• Engage in subject-specific or broader aspects of the academy's work, developing plans that set clear targets and success criteria for its growth and/or maintenance, while contributing to the overall visioning activities of the academy.

Essential Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a PGCE in Education certification.

• Teaching experience at the UK secondary level is required; experience in an international school is a plus.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 6 years of experience teaching Art.

• Strong background in delivering the English National Curriculum.

• Previous experience with students for whom English is a second language.

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Familiarity with the English curriculum and the latest developments.

• Understanding of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations related to curriculum, assessment, and compliance.

• A commitment to the principles of international education.
