About This Role

We are currently seeking applications from skilled and passionate educators for the position of Head of Arabic, with a start date in August 2026. This position will involve a teaching component.

Our Arabic Department has significantly enhanced student outcomes through an innovative and student-focused methodology, blending data-informed practices with empathy and expertise. The team is highly regarded for its dedication to academic excellence, personal development, and the overall well-being of each learner.

The Arabic Teacher will deliver exceptional teaching and learning experiences that align with ADEK and Ministry of Education (MOE) standards. This role plays a key part in supporting the Arabic Department by ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting national identity, fostering staff collaboration, engaging with parents, and nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement.

Teaching, Learning & Curriculum


Provide high-quality Arabic lessons that meet MOE and ADEK curriculum standards.


Design and prepare engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.


Track student progress and utilize assessment data to guide instruction and enhance outcomes.


Effectively implement school policies and directives from line managers in teaching, learning, and student behavior.


Participate in and promote competitions, projects, and enrichment activities to boost student engagement and success.

Compliance & Quality Assurance


Ensure adherence to Ministry of Education and ADEK policies in classroom practices.


Assist the department in preparing for external evaluations and internal audits.


Keep accurate records of student progress, assessments, and reporting in accordance with school policies.

National Identity & Cultural Engagement


Incorporate and promote UAE national identity, values, and heritage within Arabic lessons.


Engage in national celebrations and events (e.g., UAE National Day, Flag Day, Commemoration Day).


Foster cultural awareness and appreciation among students and their families.

Collaboration & Professional Development


Collaborate with colleagues in the Arabic Department to exchange best practices and resources.


Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental meetings and training sessions.


Provide mentorship and support for new or developing educators as needed.

Parent & Student Engagement


Establish effective communication with parents to keep them updated on student progress.


Address inquiries from parents and students in a timely and professional manner.


Cultivate positive home-school partnerships to enhance student progress and well-being.

Departmental Contribution


Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives that align with the broader goals of the school.


Assist with departmental data collection, assessment records, and reporting systems as required.


Engage in school-wide initiatives (e.g., competitions, clubs, community projects).

Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language / Education (Master’s degree preferred).


Teaching qualification recognized by MOE/ADEK.


A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in Arabic, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.


Experience with ADEK inspections, MOE compliance, and departmental leadership.
