Role summary:

Inspired Group is looking to appoint an experienced IB PYP Early Years teacher to join the well-established Primary School at the International School of Siena, Italy, starting in August 2026. Candidates should possess experience in teaching IB PYP or have a solid background in Early Years Reggio-Inspired education.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and dynamic educator with a proven track record of helping students reach their potential. We seek individuals who bring enthusiasm and a love for teaching, inspiring our students to embrace learning. Teamwork is essential, as the role involves collaborating within a small but active Primary School and managing one's own curriculum effectively under pressure.

This position offers the chance to significantly influence the growth of our Primary School, with potential Middle Leadership roles available for the right person.

Key responsibilities:


Fostering a positive and robust school community through the implementation of the IS Siena Positive Behaviour Policy, pastoral program, and the school's Mission and Values.


Designing and delivering the curriculum for a designated PYP EY grade level, utilizing the Reggio Emilia Inspired approach.


Planning and leading school trips, assemblies, and other initiatives as needed.


Collaborating closely with the PYP Coordinator to ensure accurate assessment data that will inform strategies for student success.


Engaging in school development through active involvement in professional development for staff.


Providing an extracurricular activity that complements or enhances the existing offerings.

The ideal candidate will have:


A university degree in a related field and a relevant teaching qualification.


Recent experience teaching successfully within the 3-5 year age range.


A genuine passion for primary education, demonstrating the ability to engage students of varying abilities.


An understanding of EY assessment and data tracking to enhance student challenge and progress is desirable.


Essential experience with PYP and/or Reggio-Inspired learning.


A strong grasp of the significance of personalized learning within an inclusive setting.


A commitment to a long-term position.
