About This Role

Curriculum and Instruction


Design and deliver stimulating, inquiry-driven lessons that align with the MYP Individuals & Societies framework and another subject, which will be determined based on the schedule, objectives, and assessment standards.


Present subject-specific knowledge that promotes conceptual understanding and connects to real-world applications across both disciplines.


Incorporate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and encourage the growth of the IB Learner Profile attributes among students.


Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs, backgrounds, and abilities of all students.


Utilize technology and digital resources to enrich learning experiences whenever suitable.

Assessment and Reporting


Create and implement assessments that adhere to MYP subject criteria and moderation standards for both subjects.


Employ both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional practices.


Offer prompt, constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic development and self-reflection.


Compile and submit precise student reports and engage in parent-teacher conferences.

Learning Environment and Student Support


Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.


Assist students' social, emotional, and academic growth through proactive pastoral care initiatives.


Encourage student agency, choice, and accountability in their learning journeys.


Work in partnership with the learning support team to provide necessary accommodations and modifications.

Collaboration and Professionalism


Collaborate effectively with MYP colleagues across different subject areas to enhance interdisciplinary units and align the curriculum.


Participate in the creation and evaluation of MYP curriculum documents and planning resources for both subjects.


Engage in professional development, attend staff meetings, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.


Communicate efficiently with parents, students, and fellow staff members.


Exemplify professionalism, ethical standards, and a dedication to the school's mission and values.

Required Qualifications and Competencies


A relevant bachelor's degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, along with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.


At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally in a middle years or international school context.


Proven ability or readiness to teach across two subject areas in a generalist or mixed-load approach.


Experience or training in the IB Middle Years Programme is highly preferred, especially within the Individuals & Societies subject group.


A solid understanding of concept-based and inquiry-led teaching methodologies.


Strong assessment literacy and familiarity with criterion-referenced assessment practices.


Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

Compensation

฿88,500 - ฿119,500 per month (+ 20,000 THB / Month Housing Allowance, Health insurance, Annual economy-class flight allowance (up to 50,000 THB), Gratuity (1 month salary per year), Personal PD allowance (up to 30,000 THB per year), Free education for dependent children at DLTS/DBS.)
