RGS Guildford Qatar is a comprehensive British school that provides a co-educational British curriculum for students aged 3 to 18. Established in September 2016, our campus now serves over 785 students and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from the Pearl and the new Lusail city. Our curriculum includes the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1, 2, and 3, and a diverse selection of IGCSE courses at Key Stage 4. For Post-16 students, we offer various AS levels. About the Role:

• Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate PE lessons that adhere to the school's curriculum and focus on enhancing students' physical, social, and emotional development.

• Track and evaluate students' progress in physical education, offering constructive feedback on their skills, effort, and overall growth.

• Create lesson plans that include a diverse range of activities aimed at improving students' strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance.

• Manage student behavior during PE classes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and mutual respect among students.

• Provide personalized support and encouragement to students who may encounter physical or emotional challenges during activities.

• Organize and supervise extracurricular sports and fitness programs, including school teams, tournaments, fitness challenges, and after-school clubs.

• Collaborate with the broader school community to advocate for physical education, health, and wellness initiatives.

• Monitor students' physical health and fitness levels, addressing any concerns with parents, guardians, or school health personnel.

• Ensure all physical activities are conducted safely, incorporating appropriate warm-ups, cool-downs, and equipment handling practices.

To be successful in this position, applicants must possess:

· A recognized teaching qualification, such as a B.Ed in Physical Education, Sports Science, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be paired with a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree)

· Outstanding subject knowledge and substantial experience teaching the British National Curriculum

· Proven experience in delivering physical education in a school environment

· In-depth knowledge of various sports, fitness routines, and physical health practices

· A strong passion for teaching and a demonstrated history of delivering exceptional educational experiences

· A readiness to engage in extracurricular activities after school

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to function independently as well as collaboratively within a team
