About This Role
This is an exceptional chance to take on the role of ICT Teacher at Reigate Grammar International School Kuala Lumpur. This position is crucial for the positive growth and development of our newly established campus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are a fully co-educational all-through institution catering to Malaysian and international students from Early Years Foundation Stage to Sixth Form. Position Summary:
We are thrilled to invite an enthusiastic Teacher of ICT to join our expanding team. The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Delivering ICT and Computing lessons to Secondary students;
• Optionally teaching GCSE and A Level (ICT or Computer Science);
• Supporting ICT-related activities as needed;
• Assisting with departmental administration;
• Collaborating within a unified departmental team and actively participating in departmental tasks;
• Promoting and encouraging the study of ICT at RGSKL.
This position is part of a team, and it is not anticipated that the candidate will teach every year group.
• A UK or internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
• Experience in British Schools, British International Schools, or with the British curriculum.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, demonstrating a high level of subject knowledge.
• Ability to teach Accounting.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of the subjects being taught and the diverse needs of secondary school students.
• Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to oversee the class and resources to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging and inspiring students, as well as collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Proficient in evaluating student progress, utilizing data to inform teaching, and providing constructive feedback to address individual learning needs.
• Adaptability in teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
