As we grow our High Performance Sports Programme (PAR Programme Elite), we are in search of an exceptional and seasoned High Performance Tennis Coach to become a vital part of our elite sports department.

Position: High Performance Tennis Coach

Introduction:

In the role of High Performance Tennis Coach, you will spearhead and enhance our elite tennis programme, collaborating with gifted student-athletes who excel academically while pursuing competitive sports. You will be responsible for designing and executing structured high-performance training schemes and mentoring players competing at regional, national, and international levels.

This position necessitates close teamwork with academic personnel, strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, boarding staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive development pathway that reflects the school’s values and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute structured high-performance tennis training programmes

• Provide personalized coaching on technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance

• Track player development through performance data and match evaluations

• Prepare athletes for regional, national, and international competitions

• Organize competition schedules and travel arrangements as needed

• Collaborate with academic departments to harmonize sports and academic responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment of promising national and international tennis talent

• Maintain safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

• Represent Sage College in a professional manner at competitions and events

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid tennis coaching qualification (e.g., ITF, RPT, RFET, LTA or equivalent national federation certification)

• At least 5 years of experience coaching competitive or high-performance athletes

• Demonstrated success in developing players for regional, national, or international competition

• Strong understanding of contemporary tennis methodologies, biomechanics, and performance analytics

• Experience in structured high-performance or academy settings

• Exceptional communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)

• Capability to mentor student-athletes in an academic context

• Driving license preferred
