About This Role
Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, in collaboration with King's College School, Wimbledon and RDFZ Beijing, is looking for a Teacher of Secondary Art (IGCSE and A-Level) to join our esteemed educational community starting August 2026.
At Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, we believe that Art education, spanning from Primary through A-Level, empowers students to delve into creativity, self-expression, and cultural awareness. Our Art instructors motivate students to hone their technical skills across various media while fostering imagination and innovation. Through their artistic journey, from initial creative exploration to rigorous study at IGCSE and A-Level, students build confidence, critical thinking abilities, and a deep appreciation for the arts as a vital form of communication and personal development.
Senior School
In Grade 9, following the completion of the mandatory Chinese curriculum, Chinese students transition to our International Curriculum Centre. This center provides a tailored approach aimed at enhancing English proficiency to facilitate access to CIE A-level courses in Grades 11 and 12.
In Grade 11, students are assigned to English and mathematics classes that match their proficiency levels. Chinese remains a required subject for native speakers. Additionally, students can select five subjects at ‘AS level’ from a range of disciplines including science, humanities, and aesthetics, before moving on to study three to five ‘A2’ subjects along with English at the appropriate level.
Salary and benefits
• Highly competitive salary packages
• Quality housing provisions
• Annual return airfare for employees and their dependents
• Medical coverage for employees and their dependents
• Comprehensive tuition support for employees with school-aged children
About you
• Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
• A strong interest in student development and a positive outlook on students’ capacity to learn and grow
• Ability to adapt to and implement local Chinese educational standards and new technologies
