About This Role
The Position
The Director of Global Literacy will directly report to the Executive Principal via Academic Management.
The ideal candidate will lead a team of specialized educators, which is expected to grow significantly as student enrollment increases. This role involves promoting the subject across all educational tiers within the School. Exceptional organizational skills are vital, along with a vibrant, innovative, and exemplary approach to teaching. A dedication to diverse instructional methods and alignment with the School's mission is also essential.

Qualifications:
- A degree of high distinction centered on the relevant subject;
- A formal teaching certification may be advantageous;
- A strong interest in continuous professional development and training;
Skills and Experience:
- Capability to effectively teach the subject to students aged 11-18 (Chinese Grades 6 to 12), while remaining informed about the latest developments in the field;
- A willingness to support students for whom English is a second language is crucial;
- Competency in ICT and strong computer abilities, with a quick adaptability to new systems and processes, particularly the SchoolPal system, our Virtual Learning Environment;
- Strong organizational and administrative skills;
- A proactive attitude toward contributing to the School's extracurricular activities is highly appreciated;
- A readiness to assist the Admissions and Marketing teams is important;
- Relevant experience in teaching, assessment, or the commercial sector will be seen as beneficial.
