About This Role

Required Secondary Science Teacher (Physics)

Starting August 2026

Ardingly Astana welcomed its first group of students in September 2024. During its initial operational year, the school catered to primary students in years 1 to 6. We have now launched the first phase of our secondary school, covering Years 7-9.

As we prepare to expand into a two-form entry institution and move to our purpose-built facility in August 2026, we seek exceptional candidates who bring the experience, enthusiasm, and energy necessary to thrive within our growing team. Every educator at Ardingly Astana will be instrumental in creating a supportive and nurturing environment where students can develop a lifelong passion for learning and acquire vital skills both in and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of educators committed to delivering inspirational teaching and adhering to best practices that align with Ardingly's high standards, positioning our school among the leading international institutions in both local and regional contexts.

Our mission is to help each child lead a fulfilling life, maximize their potential during their education, and prepare for the world beyond. At the heart of an Ardingly education is our commitment to ensuring that every child is recognized, valued, and encouraged. Each student possesses a distinct character, a unique set of abilities, and a special contribution to make. We are dedicated to understanding and nurturing their individuality, enhancing their skills, recognizing their contributions, and instilling the values, personal qualities, and competencies needed to succeed beyond Ardingly.

Applications should be submitted through the TES application portal.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete the Ardingly application form, providing the names and contact details of two professional referees, including your current or most recent headteacher if you have teaching experience in a school environment.

Please note that we will only consider applicants who hold formal teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent) and possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate:

- An educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS with an Induction Certificate, or its equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
- At least two years of teaching experience (international experience is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Strong subject knowledge, with considerable experience teaching the British National Curriculum and/or Cambridge.
- A commitment to fostering a student-centered learning atmosphere.
- A dedication to ongoing professional development and a collaborative teaching approach.
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
- Willingness to actively participate in extracurricular activities outside of regular school hours.

We offer:

- A tax-free monthly salary.
- Furnished accommodation.
- Discounts on school fees for up to two dependents.
- An annual flight allowance.
- Medical insurance.

The application deadline is April 6, 2026.

We encourage early applications. Interviews may be conducted at any time, and the school reserves the right to appoint an exceptional candidate before the closing date.

Ardingly Astana is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be prepared to undergo enhanced child protection screening, which includes checks with previous employers.
