About This Role

We are seeking a versatile and motivating Music Teacher for our Primary School, set to begin in January 2025.

This full-time role involves instructing Music for Primary students in grades 1 through 6, following the IBPYP curriculum. Our transdisciplinary teaching approach requires close collaboration among educators to ensure that lessons integrate seamlessly with the grade level Units of Inquiry.

The Music Teacher will be expected to deliver expert instruction, create high-quality educational experiences, and effectively utilize resources to enhance music achievement for all Primary learners. Collaboration in aligning the school-wide music curriculum, planning musical events such as our annual Winter and Spring concerts, and fostering strong relationships with families are essential aspects of this position. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in piano, guitar, or vocals and be comfortable leading a Primary choir or orchestra.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- A true passion for music, coupled with energy and enthusiasm for teaching children.
- Experience in a multilingual educational setting.
- Proficiency in the English language.

DESIRABLE:
- Previous training and teaching experience in the IB PYP.
- Additional qualifications in Music education.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance student learning.
- Experience in coordinating or leading extracurricular music lessons and clubs.
- Proficiency in the German language.
