The British Junior Academy of Brussels (BJAB) is situated in the diplomatic residential area of Brussels, benefiting from a diverse student body that mirrors our proximity to key EU institutions, major NGOs, and multinational company offices. Since its establishment in 1992, BJAB has earned a strong reputation as a provider of the National Curriculum of England. We take pride in being affiliated with COBIS (Council of British International Schools) and IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools). Following an inspection in 2019 by ISI, we were rated ‘Excellent’ across all domains and successfully completed a compliance inspection in 2022, meeting all British School Overseas (BSO) standards. We are currently seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and skilled Primary Teacher who shares our enthusiasm for enhancing our Primary School. The ability to collaborate effectively and exhibit flexibility are essential for this role.
BJAB prioritizes the safeguarding and welfare of children. All applicants will undergo background checks in accordance with British Overseas Standards.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A strong understanding of UK education and the National Curriculum of England
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a British school (preferred) or a British international school
- Native or fluent proficiency in English
- Eligibility to work in Belgium and/or potential for sponsorship under a Belgian work visa program
