The British Junior Academy of Brussels (BJAB) is situated in the diplomatic residential district of Brussels, reflecting the diversity of its community in close proximity to key EU institutions, major NGOs, and multinational company offices. Established in 1992, BJAB has built a strong reputation as a high-quality provider of the National Curriculum of England. Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Music Teacher to engage a diverse range of pupils throughout the school, possessing a strong background in UK Upper Preparatory Education and Secondary Education, as well as familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum.
We seek educators who can support, nurture, and challenge students from various backgrounds and starting points. Key characteristics of our professional team include creativity, flexibility, professional rigor, integrity, high expectations, and a commitment to pastoral care. The successful candidate will also take on a pastoral role within the school and contribute to the co-curricular program. This position includes responsibilities for curriculum development as our secondary school expands organically each year up to Year 13.

Essential Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of UK education and the National Curriculum of England
- Teaching experience in Key Stage 1, 2, 3, or EYFS in a British school or British international school
- Experience with school productions, musical events, and extracurricular activities such as band or choir
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proficient command of English (both written and spoken)
- Eligibility to work in Belgium and/or eligibility for sponsorship under a Belgian work visa program

Desirable Experience
- Teaching experience in Key Stage 4 or at (I)GCSE level in a British school or British international school
- Ability to teach an additional subject such as Drama
