About This Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic head of science to join our team of kaiako. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to shape and grow the future of science at Ruawai College.


The successful applicant will join a collaborative team of curriculum leaders who work closely with one another and the senior leadership team to build strong and coherent learning pathways for our ākonga. We are committed to delivering a high-quality curriculum that engages and supports all learners to reach their potential.

  • Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Teaching Council

  • The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 - $105,686, depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed

  • We are an accredited employer for the Accredited Employer Work Visa School (AEWV)
