About This Role
Oversee and direct the Financial Services and Economics department.
Formulate and execute strategic plans for the department.
Guarantee complete adherence to IGCSE Economics syllabus standards.
Assess academic performance and apply strategies for enhancement.
Prepare students for IGCSE Economics exams and assessments.
Teach Economics at the secondary level (including IGCSE and/or A-Level as applicable).
Provide engaging and interactive lessons.
Employ data-informed instructional techniques to boost student achievements.
Incorporate real-world financial case studies and simulations into lessons.
Revise curriculum materials to align with global financial developments.
Conduct evaluations of teaching performance.
Facilitate departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
Assist in training teachers on IGCSE best practices.
Monitor and analyze student performance metrics.
Ensure all documentation is ready for curriculum audits.
Coordinate with examination boards and accreditation organizations.
Maintain compliance with GEMS policies and safeguarding protocols.
