EYFS Teacher

The British College of Gava, an IB World School situated just 20 minutes from Barcelona, is looking to hire an EYFS teacher to become part of our expanding Primary School.

This is a fantastic chance to join a newly built school equipped with outstanding facilities in a prime location. We are in search of a full-time Primary teacher to integrate into our well-established Primary School. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic primary educator with a solid understanding of EYFS and the significance of Early Years Education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the UK National Curriculum and local standards.
• Plan, provide feedback, and teach according to school and departmental guidelines.
• Prepare and deliver schemes of work following school policies.
• Stay informed about the National Curriculum and related documents.
• Keep accurate records of student progress, including all statutory documents required by the UK DFE.
• Generate reports and grades for students in accordance with the school calendar.
• Conduct termly meetings with parents to discuss and explain their child’s academic performance and development.
• Create and maintain an engaging and stimulating classroom environment that encourages effective teaching and learning.
• Monitor student progress and the effectiveness of classroom activities, adjusting planning and teaching as needed.
• Differentiating instruction according to the needs of students.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Essential:

• UK trained with qualified teacher status
• Bachelor's Degree
• Native-level English language proficiency

Desirable:

• Master’s or postgraduate qualification
• Right to work in the EU
• Experience teaching with Pie Corbett's ‘Talk 4 Writing’ approach
