About This Role

We are on the lookout for an exceptional, imaginative, and enthusiastic Primary teacher to become part of our British International School. ISCS is a British School that offers the Cambridge International curriculum to a diverse community of Swiss and international learners. Our institution provides high-quality education from Early Years through to Year 13. We are focused on cultivating a strong community comprised of students, parents, and an ISCS Team that is motivated and aligned with the school's goals, working collaboratively to create opportunities for every learner.

As our school continues to grow year after year, driven by the efforts of our team and our expanding presence in the local community, we are now looking for outstanding professionals to enhance our Primary Team. Currently, our class sizes range from 8 to 15 students.

We are in search of a seasoned Primary teacher to join our School starting August 2026, in response to the growth of our Primary Department. Candidates should possess a genuine enthusiasm for teaching in an inclusive environment and a passion for delivering quality education in an international context. We are looking for an individual who is innovative in their thinking, dedicated to continuous learning, and excels as a classroom practitioner, adaptable, and motivated by challenges.

The ideal candidate for this teaching position will possess the following qualifications:


A strong Bachelor’s Degree


A recognized teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent


Relevant teaching experience in a UK or International environment, particularly with the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales


Experience in Primary education


Fluency in English


A comprehensive understanding of teaching and learning pedagogy


An innovative and inspiring approach to teaching


High expectations for both students and colleagues


Experience with integrating technology to enhance learning


A professional demeanor consistent with the Teachers’ Standards


Flexibility in teaching approaches


Experience in developing Schemes of Learning and adapting to curriculum changes


Excellent interpersonal abilities


Possession of a B or C permit to work and reside in Switzerland is preferred.
