The role:
As the Head of Mathematics, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading initiatives to enhance student participation and foster school spirit.
- Supporting enrichment activities and organizing school events.
- Strengthening parental involvement through effective communication and progress updates.
- Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
- Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking among students.
- Employing data-driven strategies to address diverse learning needs.
- Utilizing digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
- Acting as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
- Developing and executing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Ensuring rigorous assessment practices and timely feedback.
- Contributing to curriculum innovation and quality assurance efforts.
- Participating in continuous professional development.
- Reflecting on teaching practices to enhance effectiveness.
- Upholding the school’s values and contributing to a positive school culture.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience delivering a UK National Curriculum in the UK or internationally.
- A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
- Compliance with visa requirements for employment, including a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of teaching experience, and a clean criminal record valid for the past ten years.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, with a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training as necessary.
