About This Role

Job Overview: Founded in 2015, Anne Hill International offers international education to children aged 2-13 and is preparing to launch its secondary school campus in the near future. Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality international education, while our vision focuses on developing well-rounded, globally aware lifelong learners.

Our school currently accommodates approximately 350 students from 30 different countries, supported by a committed team of 30 educators who each contribute unique experiences to our community.

The new secondary school campus will commence operations in August 2026, featuring a curriculum grounded in the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary, culminating in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). We take pride in being affiliated with the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a Teacher of Mathematics for Years 7 to 10. The curriculum will adhere to the White Rose Mathematics and IGCSE framework, and while prior experience with these programs is beneficial, it is not a requirement.

All educators are expected to engage with the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and participate in after-school activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Teachers are responsible for the academic growth and pastoral care of their students, in line with the school's Guiding Statements, curriculum, and policies.

  • Set ambitious goals that inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
    • Foster a positive, secure, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation, promotes risk-taking in learning, and builds confidence.
    • Develop lesson plans with clear objectives that encourage active involvement, independence, collaboration, and interdisciplinary connections.
    • Uphold high expectations through strong relationships and inclusive practices.
  • Promote continuous progress and outcomes for every student.
    • Recognize each student’s needs to tailor learning, leveraging curriculum sequencing and prior knowledge to facilitate growth.
    • Encourage student self-reflection, accountability, and a dedicated approach to independent work and study.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge.
    • Design learning experiences that reinforce concepts, spark interest, and intellectually challenge students.
    • Continuously improve professional skills through ongoing development, applying new knowledge to classroom practices, with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and the value of scholarship.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
    • Create and implement purposeful lessons designed to meet diverse student needs, incorporating clear objectives, constructive feedback, and evidence-based strategies that foster growth.
    • Nurture positive classroom dynamics and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, student-centered approach that enhances both educational achievement and well-being.
  • Adapt teaching to the strengths and needs of students.
    • Collaborate with students to set clear, meaningful goals, modifying lessons to accommodate individual needs through various strategies, including differentiation, questioning, active learning, and technology.
    • Utilize assessment, feedback, and self-reflection to inform teaching, support advancement, and foster an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and challenged.
  • Implement effective and productive assessment practices.
    • Regularly assess student learning through a variety of methods, delivering clear feedback that supports improvement and growth.
    • Consistently apply assessment data to inform instructional strategies, guide planning, and ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Ensure high-quality provision.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, providing clear feedback and guidance.
    • Prepare and utilize resources aligned with student needs and engage support staff in planning.

Compensation
