The Position
Aldar Education is on the lookout for exceptional Mathematics Teachers to join our team in August 2025. The current opening is situated at ADNOC School, Ruwais (Western Region), Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Massachusetts Curriculum is highly esteemed and recognized for its effectiveness in the United States, boasting strong connections to renowned higher education institutions such as Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Graduates from ADNOC Schools earn the American High School Diploma, which is the standard entry credential for colleges and universities in the US.

Responsibilities:
• Foster a learning environment that promotes excellent teaching practices
• Define clear educational goals for teaching and learning
• Design engaging tasks that challenge students and maintain their interest
• Establish rigorous and appropriate expectations
• Set precise targets that build on students' previous achievements
• Recognize students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities and ensure their needs are met through tailored instruction
• Provide structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment effectively to support learning
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction
• Uphold discipline according to the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ and promote positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align the teaching approach with content, organize information, highlight key concepts, and utilize appropriate vocabulary
ii. Implement effective questioning, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Select suitable learning resources and enhance study skills through the library, ICT, and other educational technologies
• Evaluate how well learning objectives are met and use this information to refine specific teaching methods
• Grade student work biweekly and set targets for improvement
• Use performance data to enhance lesson planning, ensuring that learning continues to 'add value'
• Systematically assess and document student progress, maintaining records to verify understanding and completion of work, monitor strengths and areas for growth, inform planning, and recognize achievement levels
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies and school protocols
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
• Engage in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and course outlines
• Keep subject knowledge current through continuous professional development and professional reading
• Participate in relevant professional development workshops
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as needed.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A passion for education and care for student development
• A bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field, along with a PGCE or another teaching qualification, and a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the relevant area
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A commitment to a comprehensive enrichment program
• Recent and active involvement in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience working with students for whom English is a second language
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or equivalent police clearance
