About This Role

Marlborough College Malaysia

Marlborough College Malaysia is an extraordinary institution. Those fortunate enough to work here agree that our most significant joy, strength, promotion, and reward stem from the exceptional students who form our community. They provide constant motivation, embody the vision of a better society, and inspire genuine hope for the future.

Set on a 90-acre campus in southern Malaysia, our environment is safe and expansive, reminiscent of the generous grounds and athletic fields of Marlborough College in the UK, enhanced by our own organic farm and picturesque boating lake. Guided by our principles of compassion, companionship, and conversation, Marlborough College Malaysia empowers its students to realize their potential, explore the wonders of the world, and embrace their responsibilities towards each other and the planet.

The College includes a Prep School (ages 3-13) and a Senior School (ages 14-18), currently catering to 1,000 students, with 610 enrolled in the Prep School and 388 in the Senior School. Students aged nine and older have the option to board, with approximately one-third of eligible students choosing this path; nearly half of the Senior School students and most Sixth Form students reside on campus. The Singapore Tatler has highlighted our College as offering “the only authentic British boarding programme in Asia.”

Marlborough College Malaysia is exceptionally well-equipped and has an outstanding reputation for its students' achievements across various disciplines. It is one of the few schools in Asia to be a member of HMC, an association of leading independent schools globally, to obtain the prestigious “Beacon” status from the Council of British International Schools, and to be internationally recognized for innovation and excellence by the UK’s Boarding Schools’ Association. In 2024, it was acknowledged in The School’s Index (by Carfax Education) as one of the top 150 independent schools worldwide for the fourth consecutive year and ranked among the top 10 schools in South East Asia. It also appears in the Spear’s Index of the top 100 private schools globally and received the ‘International School of the Year’ award from a notable organization in 2024, followed by recognition from the BSA in 2025. Following a recent ISI inspection, MCM has also attained the respected BSO (British Schools Overseas) status.

Marlborough College Malaysia maintains strong connections with Marlborough College in the UK and is distinguished as one of the few international schools that is a wholly owned subsidiary of its founding institution, operating on a not-for-profit basis. Unlike many international schools that require profits to satisfy investors, all surplus generated by Marlborough College Malaysia is directed towards Marlborough’s charitable mission of delivering the highest quality education, exemplifying the best of a British independent school experience.
