Grade 1 PYP Homeroom Teacher

We are seeking a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young minds and strengthening their foundational academic skills through the IB PYP framework. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and inquiry-based environment that supports students in developing their academic, social, and emotional skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional classroom management abilities, foster trust and respect, and prepare students for their future educational paths.

As a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher, you will be integral in guiding students through a crucial stage of their education, promoting curiosity, and facilitating both academic and personal development as they interact with the PYP framework.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a recognized teaching qualification and possess relevant experience in primary education
• Have a background or strong commitment to the IB PYP framework, along with a desire to enhance their understanding of inquiry-based learning
• Exhibit strong classroom management skills, creating a positive environment where students feel safe and engaged
• Be enthusiastic about cultivating essential academic skills such as reading, writing, and numeracy in young students
• Show dedication to differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with learning differences
• Be a native-level English speaker or demonstrate near-native proficiency
• Be flexible, cooperative, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving school culture
• Effectively incorporate technology to enhance student inquiry and learning experiences
• Have experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, fostering an inclusive classroom environment
• Engage in school-wide events, after-school activities, school clubs, and collaborative meetings to support the school community
