About This Role
UWC Dilijan is on the lookout for a Geography Teacher to join our vibrant international community beginning in August 2026. At UWC Dilijan, your responsibilities will transcend traditional teaching; you will inspire students from 80 different countries to build connections, deepen cross-cultural understanding, and promote peace. If you are an experienced educator with a passion for mission-driven education, we warmly invite you to apply.
As one of the 18 United World Colleges, UWC Dilijan is a diverse international boarding school situated in Armenia. Founded in August 2014, we currently educate over 220 students aged 16 to 18 from 80 nations, all pursuing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
We adhere to the philosophy that education acts "as a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future" (UWC Mission Statement). Our community is not only focused on academic excellence but is also committed to nurturing each individual’s growth according to UWC’s principles and values, ensuring our students learn and thrive.
UWC Dilijan is part of a wider network of organizations dedicated to transforming Armenia, including the IDeA Foundation, the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, and the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology. As an educator here, you will have opportunities to engage with this broader context, whether through innovative partnerships, high-level humanitarian and technology forums, or hosting distinguished speakers in your classroom.
At UWC Dilijan, you will take on the role of not just a teacher but also a mentor, an outdoor enthusiast, and an integral participant in our residential life. The opportunities to contribute to both Dilijan and the larger UWC mission are limitless. We invite you to explore our website and social media pages to discover the inspiring stories shaped by our community.
