Cover Supervisor
About This Role
The successful candidate will provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher. The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management skills as well as a confident personality, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine.
This job allows for a large amount of autonomy in the classroom and would suit a person looking for an exciting and rewarding job, possibly before embarking further in a career in teaching.
We are look for someone who:
- Relishes the challenge of working with young people.
- Has a good standard of basic education. Has an NVQ level 2 in relevant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience of working with young people in a similar environment.
- The ability to take charge of a classroom and give clear instructions and guidance to students.
