About This Role
Runnymede College, a private non-denominational British school situated in Madrid, offers a British-style education for boys and girls of diverse nationalities, beginning at age two and continuing until eighteen. The curriculum follows the British National Curriculum.
Founded as a private educational institution in September 1967, the primary section opened in 1987, and since 1990, the entire school has been located in La Moraleja, in the northern part of Madrid. The school is divided into three sections: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).
Runnymede College is recognized for its exceptional academic performance. In June 2025, 57% of our students achieved A-A* grades at A level, surpassing the 48% A*-A grades attained by independent schools across England this year. Additionally, 67% of our students earned A*-A grades at IGCSE, compared to 48% A*-A grades at GCSE in the English independent school sector.
Among the graduating class of 2025, an impressive 83% of students heading to the UK are expected to enroll in Top 10 universities according to the Sunday Times Good University Guide rankings. This year’s graduates will be attending renowned institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE. In the United States, students have begun their higher education at prestigious colleges including Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown.
Some of our students will continue their studies in Spain at leading institutions such as ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will seek higher education at top universities throughout Europe, especially in France and Ireland.
