About This Role
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Key Stage Leader - Lower Primary to join The Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and practices for the department that reflect the School's vision, objectives, commitment to excellence in achievement, and effective teaching and learning.
- Create, monitor, and evaluate short, medium, and long-term plans for the growth of the department.
- Effectively utilize data to identify underperforming students within the department and design action plans to assist them.
- Analyze relevant school data to shape departmental policies and aid in the preparation of the department/school Self-Evaluation Form (SEF).
- Ensure the development and routine review of suitable schemes of work for all year groups and courses, including necessary provisions for students with SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL needs.
- Ensure comprehensive curriculum coverage, continuity, and progress for all students, including those with high abilities and those with special educational needs.
- Set clear expectations for staff regarding achievement standards, teaching quality, and student conduct.
- Evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department to identify effective practices and areas for improvement, taking action to enhance performance.
- Manage team performance in accordance with the school’s performance management policy.
- Ensure optimal allocation of staff and resources.
- Maintain effective oversight of the Department's Resource and Capital Expenditure budgets.
- Maximize the use of facilities to create an engaging and stimulating teaching and learning environment in accordance with the Learning Environment Policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field alongside a PGCE or other teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 6 years of teaching experience.
- Familiarity with the UK curriculum.
