Educational Excellence across Two Iconic Campuses
Since August 2023, King’s College Doha has been located in the Al Thumama district (Pre-Prep School) and the Mesaimeer district (Prep and Senior Schools), which are a mere ten-minute drive apart, easily accessible from various areas in Doha, and only twenty minutes from the city center.

Our remarkable Al Thumama Campus is the sole facility in the capital dedicated to 3–7-year-olds, featuring a library, a central atrium, a STEAM lab, an art and design center, music and drama classrooms, a Mac lab, a sports hall, an outdoor 25-meter pool with a learner area, and outdoor sports courts.

The Mesaimeer Campus, which opened in August 2023, was designed by award-winning architects to provide top-notch facilities and an optimal learning environment for older students.

Facilities include a cutting-edge Performing Arts and Media Centre, a 17,000m² Sports Academy featuring a double sports hall, swimming pool, dance studio, fitness suite, basketball and tennis courts, an Art and Design Centre, and an inspiring STEAM Centre.

Role Overview:
King’s College Doha is seeking a vibrant and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to become part of our Senior School team, teaching students in Years 10 to 13. The successful applicant may also serve as a Form Tutor.

This position presents a wonderful opportunity to motivate students through exceptional teaching, enhance their understanding of the business realm, and contribute to the broader school community. For the right individual, leadership roles may be accessible.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

Deliver engaging, well-structured, and creative lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students.


Instill a passion for Business Studies and maintain a culture of high expectations.


Collaborate with colleagues in the department to design curriculum and work plans.


Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that subject offerings align with the school’s development plan and assessment criteria.


Establish challenging learning objectives using a variety of strategies, resources, and technologies.


Provide timely feedback, encouraging students to reflect and act upon it.


Support students academically as needed, particularly in preparation for external assessments.

Pastoral and Wider School Life

Carry out pastoral and supervisory duties as necessary.


Participate in assemblies, departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, school events, and other staff gatherings.


Serve as a positive role model and contribute to the school’s ethos and image.


Engage in extracurricular activities, school-organized events, and enrichment programs.

Curriculum Development

Create high-quality, engaging subject-specific activities.


Assist in sourcing and managing teaching materials.


Ensure effective curriculum alignment both vertically and horizontally.


Analyze and respond to assessment data to guarantee exceptional student progress.


Regularly evaluate teaching practices and take charge of professional development.

Person Specification

Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum or an equivalent framework. (E)


Extensive subject knowledge in Business Studies. (E)


A minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience. (E)


A good degree from an accredited university. (E)


PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification. (E)


Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills. (E)

Experience teaching students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). (D)
