About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated educator to teach Mathematics to middle school and secondary students, employing Cambridge, Cambridge IGCSE, and IBDP curricula while focusing on a comprehensive approach to student growth.

Middle School and Secondary
Our Middle School serves students aged 10 to 13, while the Secondary division accommodates those aged 14 to 18. Class sizes typically range from 20 to 25 students. The student body includes English language learners, with most reaching or nearing proficiency by Form 3. We prioritize both vertical and horizontal collaboration among educators, and we expect our teachers to be committed to nurturing students' character development, critical thinking abilities, academic success, and overall health—both emotional and physical.
We recognize early adolescence, or junior youth, as a distinctive phase with specific needs and significant potential. Our Middle School programs are designed to engage students' interests, cultivate their abilities for service, and encourage meaningful interactions with peers and older youth. We support students in achieving proficiency across various academic subjects while also fostering their spiritual awareness, expressive capabilities, and a strong moral compass to guide their choices.
In Secondary school, students transition into adolescence, a time when their abilities and energy flourish. We believe that youth have the potential to effect positive change and are increasingly capable of meaningful service. Their desire for knowledge and sense of purpose are expressed through greater ownership of their educational journey. Our secondary program focuses on enhancing students' intellectual skills along with the values, attitudes, and insights necessary for them to contribute positively to society. Through a rigorous academic curriculum that spans multiple subjects, we prepare students for success in IGCSE exams in Form 4, the IB Diploma Programme in Form 6, and their future academic pursuits after graduation.
Working Hours & Schedule
Teachers are expected to work 36 hours each week, which includes up to twenty 45-minute teaching sessions, various duties, and time allocated for planning.
Throughout the year, there are approximately 30 days designated for holidays in Macau and at the school, including Winter and Chinese Spring Festival breaks, alongside about 50 days of summer vacation. Monthly Saturday workdays, which often enhance community engagement and enrichment activities, allow for an extension of holiday time while ensuring we meet required contact days.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting annual salary, inclusive of a housing allowance, is around US$44,000 after taxes, with potential increases based on experience. This figure does not cover the annual travel allowance, a New Year bonus, pension contributions, and a yearly re-enlistment bonus equivalent to one month's salary. Additionally, the Macau government provides a professional development subsidy of at least US$600 monthly for teachers. Altogether, the total after-tax compensation for teachers is approximately US$58,000.
Benefits encompass local healthcare coverage, reduced tuition for up to two dependents enrolled in the school, internal professional development opportunities, and support in securing housing, including a one-week hotel stay.
Requirements

A relevant Bachelor’s degree. (While coursework completed at the Master’s or Ph.D. level is valued, it can only partially fulfill the specific requirement set by the Education Department. Other teaching qualifications and certifications are appreciated but not mandatory for Middle School or Secondary teaching positions in Macau).
