Role Introduction
We are seeking qualified educators to instruct Computer Science, spanning from lower secondary (Year 7) to iGCSE level, and potentially A-level, at our school located in Koh Samui. This is a distinctive opportunity to enhance your skills on one of Thailand's most renowned islands, while engaging in a results-oriented pedagogical approach.

Main Duties

• Contribute to the school community through various avenues, such as enrichment activities, creating effective teaching methodologies and curriculum, implementing interventions for individuals or groups, managing internal assessments, or participating in outreach initiatives.

• Teach students across diverse age groups and abilities, providing challenges for advanced learners and support for those who may struggle with the subject.

• Actively pursue your own professional growth and development in collaboration with our leadership team.

• Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting protocols, teacher’s manual, and participate in parents' meetings as necessary.

• Engage in the co-curricular aspects of school life as agreed with our leadership team.

• Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of all young people.

• Tutor small and large groups of students, showing interest in their academic progress and overall well-being.

• Regularly assist in initiatives related to educational development or pastoral care, supporting the school and familiarizing yourself with students.

• Potentially serve as a STEM coordinator.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be a reflective educator who:

• Holds a good honours degree (2:1 or higher) and/or a further qualification in a directly-related discipline.

• Has experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum at KS3, IGCSE, and A levels in CS/ICT (preferred).

• Is enthusiastic about their subject and possesses the knowledge to deliver engaging lessons to the diverse student body at PBISS.

• Aligns with PBISS's holistic vision of education and is eager to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral dimensions of school life.

• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and collaborating with a wide range of individuals.

• Is dedicated to ongoing professional development.

• Welcomes advancements and innovations in teaching and is open to diverse assessment and differentiation strategies in the classroom.
