About This Role

Bloom World Academy is on the lookout for a compassionate, skilled, and committed SENDco (Primo / Junior School) to become part of our team starting in August 2026.

As an IB World School, Bloom World Academy focuses on inclusive, child-centered education that nurtures the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. The ideal candidate will possess a strong dedication to early identification and intervention, collaborating with others to support students in the Primo and Junior sections who have a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

You should have experience or a solid understanding of inquiry-based and play-informed learning strategies, along with the ability to tailor provision to the unique needs of young learners with SEND. Your role will involve assisting students both within the classroom and through targeted interventions, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum and develop confidence as independent learners.

The right candidate will be a warm, reflective educator with excellent interpersonal abilities and a track record of fostering positive, trusting connections with young children, colleagues, and parents alike. You will display high standards in both written and verbal communication and possess a genuine enthusiasm for inclusion, wellbeing, and advocacy.

We are looking for an experienced SENDco who can collaborate closely with class teachers, phase leaders, and parents to support students throughout the Primo and Junior School. You will play a key role in developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), enhancing high-quality differentiation, and promoting inclusive classroom practices across the section.

While familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is highly desirable, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. You should bring extensive knowledge of early childhood and primary SEND provision, assessment for learning, and evidence-based intervention strategies, with a clear aim of helping students reach their fullest potential.

The BWA Community

At BWA, staff are part of a united, vibrant, and friendly community. Colleagues form genuine friendships and enjoy positive relationships with school leaders who prioritize staff wellbeing. BWA staff are adaptable, solution-oriented, and resilient, welcoming the opportunities and challenges that come with working in a developing international school.

We expect staff at BWA to be approachable, cheerful, and proactive in establishing positive connections with families. All staff members are encouraged to engage in and lead community initiatives and events, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to school life.
