About This Role
The Role
The Subject Teacher will report directly to the Head of Department and will play a key role in advancing the subject across all grade levels in the school. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong organizational skills and demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and creativity in their teaching approach, aligning with the goals and vision of this bilingual institution.
The selected candidate will join a team of specialized subject educators, which is anticipated to expand significantly as enrollment numbers grow. They will actively participate in the ongoing development of the subject throughout the school.
Key duties and responsibilities encompass:

Teaching and Learning
•
Tutoring and Pastoral Care
•
A high-quality degree with a primary focus on the relevant subject
•
A recognized teaching qualification
•
A minimum of two years’ teaching experience
Requirements:
•
Native-level proficiency in English;
•
At least two years of experience teaching the subject and the ability to instruct students aged 11-18;
•
Strong communication skills in English with students, colleagues, and parents, with the ability to facilitate interpretation into Chinese if necessary, fostering positive relationships within the school community;
•
Collaborative working skills;
•
Familiarity with a range of teaching resources, including digital tools to enhance teaching and learning;
•
Cultural sensitivity towards the differences present in China and a commitment to maintaining a cross-cultural approach in their work;
•
A dedication to engaging fully in the life of students and the school beyond regular academic hours, including participation in academic enrichment and co-curricular activities;
•
Experience with A-Level or IGCSE students is advantageous.
