SEL Counselor - Dongtan (G1~G5)
About This Role
Saint Paul American Scholars (SPAS) is an expanding K-12 educational institution dedicated to nurturing responsible citizenship in young people while preparing them for higher education. This mission involves instilling essential ethical values such as courage, compassion, integrity, justice, truth, reason, fairness, respect, and honesty, alongside a robust academic curriculum.
A nurturing school atmosphere is marked by high-quality instruction from teachers and meaningful learning experiences for students. Achieving this requires a safe environment for everyone within the SPAS community, emphasizing citizenship and the fair application of rules for all. We recognize the critical role parents play as partners in education and their accountability for their children’s behavior and academic success.
At SPAS, we seek educators—individuals who see themselves as more than mere teachers. Our ideal candidates are driven to discover alternative methods to support students who are struggling, to provide challenges for those excelling, and to understand the factors influencing students' performance. Their motivation stems from a commitment to help students not just get by but truly flourish. We encourage collaboration among educators and stakeholders to bolster student success.
Educators recognize that teaching goes beyond simply assigning, collecting, and grading assignments. If this resonates with you, we would love to hear from you.
