About This Role

Utilize various forms of inquiry, such as open, structured, and guided approaches, to spark students' curiosity and equip them with the abilities necessary for constructing their own understanding and evolving into independent lifelong learners.

· Instruct students in conceptual knowledge that spans across and beyond traditional subject boundaries, aiding them in grasping complex and overarching ideas. Thoughtfully design questions, inquiries, and provocations to enhance conceptual comprehension while intertwining content, skills, and concepts.

· Design contextualized, real-world learning experiences that allow students to assimilate new information by linking it to their personal experiences (local context) and the broader world (global context), fostering international awareness.

· Collaboratively and continuously plan to create interactive and cooperative learning experiences that stimulate meaningful dialogue and feedback, grounded in data to adaptively address students' needs.

· Collaborate with colleagues to accommodate student diversity by fostering self-esteem, acknowledging prior knowledge, scaffolding learning, and providing engaging, respectful, and challenging tasks for all students.

· Plan, coordinate, and execute ongoing assessments alongside students and colleagues to track, document, evaluate, and report on learning progress. Utilize “Assessment as and for Learning” data to inform teaching adjustments.

· Teach with a focus on approaches to learning skills, identifying the specific skills and dispositions targeted for instruction. Explicitly guide students in the strategies and techniques they can employ to process information and enhance skill transfer and self-regulation.

· Seamlessly incorporate technology to enrich students' learning experiences. Reflect on the rationale and methods behind technology use, ensuring digital integrity.

· Support and nurture students’ language development by activating prior knowledge and building background understanding, scaffolding language acquisition, expanding language skills, and affirming their identities.

· Plan to empower learners to internalize principles of sustainability and navigate complex systems, equipping them to take initiative or advocate for actions that restore and maintain ecosystem health while promoting equity and envisioning a sustainable future.

· Engage actively in professional inquiry (through PLCs, action research, workshops, study groups, critical friends, data teams, etc.) with the goal of continually reflecting on practices and enhancing learning outcomes for all students.

· Reflect on personal beliefs regarding professional responsibilities to conduct oneself with integrity and transparency, build and connect learning communities, and honor and promote both organizational and broader cultural contexts.

Compensation

QAR 11,000 - QAR 14,000 per month
