Location: Shanghai, China

We are seeking a Secondary IB DP Physics Teacher to join our NACIS Shanghai school, part of Nord Anglia Education, starting in August 2026. The teaching responsibilities will encompass Grade 10 to 12 IBDP Physics.

THE ROLE
You will report to the Head of Secondary Physics and play a vital role in ensuring that lesson planning, preparation, teaching, assessment, and reporting align with student needs and school standards. Your contributions will be integral to the broader development and expansion of the school. You will demonstrate comprehensive curriculum knowledge and exhibit flexibility within the science department to teach various facets of the curriculum.

Collaboration with national and international educators will be key as you help advance the curriculum offerings and future direction of the Science subject within our institution. We expect you to uphold high expectations for our students, crafting learning experiences that correspond with our Secondary curriculum, and nurturing a culture of achievement without limits. You will cultivate respect in the classroom, promoting learning through inquiry and dialogue.

Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and build strong relationships with parents and students will be critical. Additionally, you must meet the visa requirements for China, which include a minimum of two years of science teaching experience and a notarized bachelor’s degree.

Compensation

£35,900 - £44,460 per year (Excellent IBDP Physics Teacher Opportunity with NACIS Shanghai, a well reputed International Bilingual school with Nord Anglia Education in China, to start in August 2026)
