The Parker Academy is seeking a committed and inspirational Teacher of Music to join our dynamic secondary school community on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate music educator to make a real impact in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment where creativity and the arts are highly valued.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress, provide feedback, and inform future planning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on progress, achievements and any concerns.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management using school policies, routines and consistent expectations.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed.

Pay range:

MPS1 - UPS3- £32,916.00 - £51,047.00

Full time, Permanent

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree or equivalent qualification relevant to Secondary Education.
  • Ability to deliver high‑quality, engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Confident classroom management skills, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and progress.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
