About This Role
We are seeking a qualified Secondary Alternative Pathways Teacher to become part of our dedicated team at GEMS Education in Dubai, beginning January 2026. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Inclusion on the development and scheduling of the Alternative Pathway curriculum.
- Work alongside the Head of Inclusion on future enhancements for the Alternative Pathway at the school.
- Coordinate with subject specialists to adapt the curriculum for mainstream classes.
- Maintain and manage the IASEND assessment tracker for the Alternative Pathway.
- Collaborate with the Head of Inclusion and subject teachers regarding reporting systems for the Alternative Pathway.
- Partner with Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Learning Support case managers to design and manage resources for ASDAN and the Alternative Pathway.
- Conduct internal moderation of ASDAN student files for certification purposes.
- Facilitate professional development training sessions on ASDAN for 1:1 Learning Support Assistants.
- Oversee the implementation of ASDAN tasks and assignments.
- Collaborate closely with the Dubai ASDAN coordinator and the International Development coordinator to ensure effective integration, review, and moderation of ASDAN.
- Stay informed about national and international advancements in the ASDAN curriculum.
