PYP STEM Teacher

Curriculum & Planning

• Work alongside PYP Homeroom Teachers to integrate STEM into Units of Inquiry
• Create and implement STEM-related projects, experiments, and activities
• Align lessons with the attributes of the IB learner profile and approaches to learning (ATL skills)

Assessment & Reporting

• Assess student progress through both formative and summative evaluations
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and growth
• Provide constructive feedback to students and update parents on their progress
• Contribute to report writing and participate in parent-teacher conferences

Classroom Environment

• Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Oversee classroom behavior in line with school policies
• Ensure the effective utilization and maintenance of STEM resources, tools, and equipment

Collaboration & Professional Development

• Collaborate with fellow educators, coordinators, and leadership teams
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in STEM education and IB methodologies

Experience

• A minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in STEM or related disciplines
• Experience with the IB PYP is preferred
• Experience in international school settings is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong grasp of inquiry-based learning and the philosophy of the IB PYP
• Capability to integrate technology into teaching (e.g., coding, robotics, digital tools)
• Exceptional classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Innovative and creative teaching approach
