About This Role
We are seeking an outstanding, creative, and passionate Primary teacher to join our British International School. ISCS is a British School that delivers the Cambridge International curriculum to a diverse group of Swiss and international students. We provide exceptional education from Early Years up to Year 13. Our mission is to build a cohesive community of students, parents, and an ISCS Team that shares a common vision, working together to create opportunities for every learner.
As our school expands each year, spurred by the dedication of our staff and our increasing influence in the local area, we are now in search of remarkable professionals to strengthen our Primary Team. Currently, our class sizes consist of 8 to 15 students.
We are looking for an experienced Primary teacher to join our School starting in August 2026, in response to the growth in our Primary Department. Applicants should have a genuine passion for teaching within an inclusive framework and a commitment to providing high-quality education in an international environment. We seek an individual who demonstrates innovative thinking, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and excels as a classroom practitioner, showing adaptability and a readiness for challenges.
The ideal candidate for this teaching role will have the following qualifications:
- A strong Bachelor’s Degree
- A recognized teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent
- Relevant teaching experience in a UK or International setting, particularly with the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales
- Experience in Primary education
- Fluency in English
- A thorough understanding of teaching and learning pedagogy
- An innovative and motivating teaching style
- High expectations for both students and colleagues
- Experience in utilizing technology to enhance learning
- A professional demeanor that aligns with the Teachers’ Standards
- Flexibility in teaching methodologies
- Experience in creating Schemes of Learning and adapting to curriculum modifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A B or C permit to work and live in Switzerland is preferred.
