We are currently seeking a Primary Homeroom Teacher to join our Wentworth Campus (JK to Grade 7). The successful candidate will be a dynamic and collaborative educator, ready to engage in various facets of school life. This position is a Temporary Contract for the 2026-27 school year, starting on August 28, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building effective and collaborative relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community
  • Implementing the curriculum in alignment with the BC Ministry
  • Tailoring instruction to meet each student's unique learning needs
  • Creating a respectful and secure environment for children
  • Collaborating with grade team faculty and the wider school community to design innovative lessons and units using the design thinking approach
  • Engaging in ongoing Professional Development to refine and enhance teaching practices

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Experience in elementary school teaching
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • BC Teaching Certification
  • Basic First Aid certification
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada and Canadian residency

  • Outstanding teaching skills coupled with a creative approach

The current annual salary range for this role on the 2025-26 faculty grid is *$75,322 to $112,169, based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty members holding a Master's degree will receive a higher salary. *The 2026-27 faculty grid will be finalized in late April.
