Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, located in Big River First Nation, is seeking a vibrant and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join their staff for the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing lesson plans across various subjects
• Evaluating and grading students' comprehension and performance
• Communicating with students and parents to address academic concerns
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages education
• Designing lesson plans and instructional methods that adhere to school standards
• Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and pinpoint areas needing improvement
• Nurturing an engaging learning atmosphere that caters to the individual needs of each student
• Preparing lesson plans and educational resources by coordinating activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Supervising and managing classroom conduct and activities

Requirements:
• Strong scheduling skills
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Proficient classroom management skills
• Ability to instruct students with varying abilities
• Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Experience in cross-cultural settings is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Capacity to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be able to confirm prior teaching experience (if applicable)
