Crofton House School offers an empowering educational environment tailored specifically for girls, serving students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. Our mission is to inspire students to achieve their greatest potential by embracing academic challenges and diverse experiences, all while being supported by a dedicated staff that truly believes in their capabilities.

At Crofton House School, we foster a vibrant sense of community among educators, staff, students, and families. Each individual contributes to enriching our school environment – and that includes you.

We provide a variety of professional development opportunities, competitive salaries, and a comprehensive benefits package. Our expansive 10-acre campus features state-of-the-art facilities, stunning outdoor spaces, and daily interactions with nature.

The Student Services department at Crofton House School is made up of committed teachers, advisors, and personal counsellors who support students academically, socially, and emotionally. They work together to place the student at the center of her educational journey, creating programs and structures that aid her decisions about learning, well-being, and future aspirations. Our student services facilities are equipped with advanced technology, providing bright and engaging environments.

You are a seasoned professional in your field. As a qualified school counsellor and educator, you possess a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by girls in grades 8 to 12. You approach personal counselling with empathy, therapeutic strategies, and cultural awareness, while being mindful of mental health and the social-emotional development of students. Alongside supporting students, you mentor teachers to help them recognize the personal challenges their students face and guide them in implementing beneficial strategies for all learners. You collaborate with the SEL and Wellness Coordinator to design and execute SEL initiatives for grades 8-12, and you assist Heads of Grade in identifying trends and providing necessary support for individual students. Additionally, you will facilitate professional development for teachers and information sessions for parents throughout the year as required.

Students see you as approachable, knowledgeable, empathetic, authentic, and supportive. Your passion for your role is evident, and you understand the significance of collaboration with parents in their daughters’ education, fostering open and cooperative relationships with the parent community. As a lifelong learner, you are committed to professional growth and actively engage in the school community.

Your working days will typically be Wednesday to Friday, although these may adjust based on the operational needs of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for the social and emotional challenges faced by girls.
