About This Role

Purpose of Role

Key Responsibilities of an ISP Teacher

  • Develop lesson plans that are consistent with the established curriculum and school frameworks.
  • Adapt and assess lesson plans to meet the unique needs of individual students, comply with newly established guidelines, refresh relevant content, and integrate advancements in the field of education.
  • Customize the curriculum to align with student requirements while ensuring the overall progress of the class.
  • Maintain and continually improve a comprehensive understanding of curriculum programs and structures.
  • Assess and document student progress, identifying areas needing attention and improvement.
  • Create a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students.
  • Work together with other staff members focused on student engagement.
  • Regularly communicate with parents in line with school protocols, including providing updates on student progress and necessary disciplinary issues.
  • Address the diverse ability levels of students.
  • Maintain order and discipline among students while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and policies.
  • Participate in occasional professional development workshops.
  • Attend and actively engage in school meetings centered on curriculum, organization, and guidelines.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by your direct supervisor or the Deputy Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a native English speaker with a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a Bachelor of Arts, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGCertEd/QTS.
  • Have a minimum of three years of international teaching experience at the primary level, with preference for candidates with relevant curriculum experience.
  • Possess a clear criminal record.
