About This Role
Job Purpose:
Deliver outstanding math instruction to students by developing and implementing lessons that align with the curriculum while fostering a nurturing educational environment.
Main Duties:
• Teach assigned math courses, addressing subjects such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus.
• Facilitate engaging lessons that promote active involvement and understanding of mathematical principles, using a variety of teaching methods (e.g., hands-on activities, technology use, group projects).
• Follow the prescribed math curriculum, ensuring that lessons meet both national and state educational standards.
• Adapt lessons as needed to reflect student growth and learning needs, ensuring all students can reach course objectives.
• Design and apply regular formative and summative assessments to gauge student progress and understanding.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments to assist students in improving their abilities.
• Customize instruction to meet a wide range of learners, including those requiring extra assistance as well as those pursuing advanced topics.
• Use various support strategies (e.g., tutoring, collaborative efforts, personalized sessions) to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
