Northview International School (NVIS) is seeking a passionate and student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our growing international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Lower Elementary grades, delivering dynamic lessons that follow the American curriculum framework while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Crafting and implementing engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum
  • Teaching foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and science
  • Utilizing student-centered teaching techniques that inspire inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking
  • Integrating technology and hands-on learning opportunities to promote active learning
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress through both formative and summative evaluations
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and confident
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve curriculum development and teaching methodologies
  • Actively engaging in the wider school community through extracurricular activities and community initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching at the Lower Elementary level
  • Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework
  • Commitment to student-centered and inquiry-based learning
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Experience in an international school setting is preferred but not essential.
