Job Description

Him Lam International School Bac Ninh is on the lookout for a committed Kindergarten teacher with a demonstrated track record of successfully educating Kindergarten students, especially in English as a Second/Additional Language. This Homeroom teacher will be responsible for delivering instruction in the core subjects for Kindergarten.

The objective of this position is to improve student learning outcomes by implementing effective teaching and learning strategies that align with the school's Mission, Vision, Core Values, Learning Principles, Learner Sphere, Culture, and applicable national and international programs.

To excel in this Kindergarten teaching role, candidates should possess qualifications in Early Years Education, ideally with experience in the IEYC curriculum. A warm and approachable personality is crucial for creating a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging and meaningful activities, fostering a supportive atmosphere for learning.

I. Responsibilities
● Create, plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs of all students in line with the school's early years curriculum.
● Engage mixed-culture and ability classes by designing stimulating and interactive learning experiences for every student.
● Monitor and assess student progress, establishing targets to ensure all learners can succeed and develop.
● Oversee student well-being as both a subject and homeroom teacher, encouraging their personal and social development.
● Collaborate with colleagues to share creative ideas, teaching strategies, and professional insights.
● Regularly connect with SEN and EAL teams to ensure a holistic approach is taken for students with various developmental needs.
● Maintain professional and clear communication with parents, keeping them updated on their children's progress and status. Update parent communication platforms according to the annual requirements and add relevant details as necessary.
● Work with the Head of the International IEYC Programme to ensure effective curriculum execution in assigned classes, including resource selection and classroom management.
● Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to school events such as Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD Day, or PTC Day.
● Remain attentive to the needs of children for whom English is an additional language.
● Tailor lesson plans to accommodate students with additional needs.
● Engage in curriculum development, homeroom activities, extracurricular programs, and other growth initiatives.
● Supervise assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day as required.
● Cultivate positive relationships and communication with colleagues.
● Ensure effective utilization of resources, materials, and equipment.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the International IEYC Programme or the School Director.

II. Requirements
1. Education
● A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (a Postgraduate Degree in Education or a related teaching field is preferred).
● A valid teaching certificate/license in the relevant subject area.
2. Experience
● At least 3 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
● Experience in international or bilingual school settings is highly desired.
● Familiarity with curriculum development.
3. Skills & Knowledge
● Native-level proficiency in English.
● Proficiency in a second language, such as Vietnamese, Korean, or Chinese, is a plus.
● Creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for teaching a diverse range of learners from various cultural backgrounds, languages, abilities, interests, and personalities.
● Ability to effectively use technology in teaching and learning, including online learning management systems, online collaboration tools, or online assessment tools.
