Role Overview:

The Horizon community is celebrated for its spirit of challenge, innovation, wellbeing, and enjoyment. As an Islamic Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enriching our students' learning experiences within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will support the Islamic Studies department in providing valuable learning opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher with a variety of classroom activities.
• Collaborate with students in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Facilitate intervention sessions.
• Help create supportive learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, that cater to students’ needs and interests.
• Embody the HES Values in all communications and interactions.
• Adhere to and actively promote safeguarding policies, procedures, and the code of conduct.
• Approach school life and professional development with initiative and professionalism.
• Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• A qualification in Islamic Studies or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or supporting Islamic Studies for both Arab and non-Arab students.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• The capability to assist teachers with classroom instruction, student engagement, and preparation of learning resources.
• A positive demeanor, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to enhancing students’ learning and wellbeing.
• Experience in Dubai or the UAE is beneficial.
