About This Role

General Professional Responsibilities

A teacher's role encompasses a variety of essential duties, including:

• Engaging in instructional activities by planning and preparing lessons and courses, setting and grading assignments, and assessing, recording, and reporting on student development, progress, and achievements in alignment with the school's policies and expectations.

• Leveraging data to improve classroom instruction, monitoring student progress, and applying timely interventions when necessary.

• Communicating and collaborating with the parents of students, which involves composing reports.

• Participating as a team member in the development of departmental policies and practices, preparing and refining study programs, and determining effective teaching and assessment methods.

• Keeping abreast of curriculum advancements, engaging in ongoing professional development (CPD), and contributing to personal professional growth.

• Working alongside support teachers within the classroom setting.

• Taking responsibility for a specific area within the curriculum, administration, or projects related to curriculum innovation.

• Gaining familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and understanding the standards for exemplary teaching and learning in the UAE.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should:

• Hold relevant qualifications and QTS (BEd or a Bachelor’s degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent).

• Exhibit a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students with that enthusiasm.

• Possess a strong understanding of assessment and examination standards.

• Display excellence in teaching, showcasing outstanding practices that facilitate student progress.

• Collaborate effectively as part of a team, demonstrating a willingness to share best practices.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
